Hi all you wonderfull and helpfull people.
I have now know that Sarah Lizzie, on her sons christening was herself christened Elizabeth Reynolds.
I still cannot find her, all I know that she died very young giving birth.
She have have left her son to work away from Pinchbeck.

Firstly I have no intension of taking LIBERTIES from all you lovely people,
and I am sorry if Flick think that I was.
Regarding a Sarah Reynolds living at Barkston Lincolnshire, I went on FreeBMD.
Looked at the full list of marriage at Grantham December 1890 both possilble name, Tom Charles Rimmington and Charles William Roe are on the list, with the spouse name of Sarah, there is a number on Sarah's on the list, both of them married a Sarah.
So I put in the name of Sarah Reynold with the spouse christen name Tom Charles and Charles William, both came up she married them both.
The two christen name are the only ones on the full list.
So she may or may not be the Sarah Lizzie Reynolds I am looking for.

Susan Green was the wife of John Green an Engin Driver at a flour mill. it seems they had no children of their own .

The Susan Wiles on the 1901 census must have been the Susan Green on the 1891.

Yes Rose I have seen that but this Sarah is on a census with her mother Mary Ann Reynolds and the ctual form reads Rimmington but been transcribed as Reynolds she also has to Rimmington children there one 3 and the other younger.

William Walter Reynolds birth 25th December 1885, christened on the 2nd February 1886.
He married Mary Jane cooper 1906 at Spalding Lincolnshire.
It was said his mother died young and in child birth and, live with a Susan Green at Spalding at the time of the 1891 census, age 5.
Also that someone paid for him to train has a painter & decorater.

ok so Sarah's son is on the 1901 "adopted " by Susan... can't find a death for his mother in Lincolnshire between his birth and 1891...

I have'nt put her on the list of names because it is much too long with all the other people at the same two shops.


She is not with her son on the 1891. Her son is living as a lodger on the 1891 aged 5 years with a Susan Green in Lincolnshire and he is the only other person in that house on the night of the census.

Her son was William Walter Reynolds born 1886/7 lincs.

Sarah's mother on the 1901 living at the same address as the one with just the children that Choccy found mistranscribed.

I think this is Charles's birth and death. Notice the middle name of Smith and on one census there was a nephew born Spalding with surname Smith visiting the family.

Well it was'nt compulsary to register births until 1875 Brian. A registered birth did'nt always have middle names either so the birth for Sarah Reynolds is probably the right one. Her proper name was probably Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds.

I have check on all the names on the 1871/1881 census for all the children of Charles/Harriet Reynolds, cannot find Eliza Reynolds birth about 1865 or Sarah Lizzie, only a Sarah birth about 1868.
Then the baby was christened 1886, mothers name down has Sarah Lizzie.

These are Charles, Emily and Herbert (Reynolds on the original).

They look to be living next door to Frances Leach and David and Flolrence Jones, but the original says 'son', 'daughter' and 'son' respectively ?
