CLAYTON Lavinia Gt. Ouseburn 9a 85

The district Gt. Ouseburn is an alternative name for Great Ouseburn and it spans the boundaries of the counties of North Riding of Yorkshire and West Riding of Yorkshire;

I have often thought she could have been married before, as Willies sister did not get on with her and it was her son whom found her. And the year after the death non of Lavinia's side of the family put any thing in the paper only Willie

Karen-Marie

Karen-Marie Report 13 Apr 2011 16:19

Yes on the census it as her down as 1879 i have been looking forLavinias from 1879 through to 1881

Karen-Marie

Karen-Marie Report 13 Apr 2011 16:16

Where is great ouseburn if you do not mind me asking you. When Lavinia died she was found in the canal at BIngley. They had to have an inquest. Which was in the papers I have a copy of it. It never mentions Lavinias own family only that of my great great uncle Willie. Her Nephew found her the in the morning. She had been missing since the previous day. My father says it is like the family have blocked her out.

If the death cert is correct and she was 49 at the time ,then wouldn't her birth be between March 1880 -March 1881??

When they married they stayed in Keighley until her death in 1930. Willie re married after Lavinia died. it may have been one of the women he was messing about with.
