Dear all,
I am in the progress of trying to put a family tree together of the Corteel family, and have the following request;
does anyone know if any children were born out of the marriage of Annie L Rudduck and Desire A Corteel, marriage took place in 1935. Desire Corteel was killed in a bombing raid in 1940, he was the landlord of The Goat in Boots Pub .
Annie Corteel died some where in Kent in 1972, I assume she was still a war widow , Any info?

It all seems to point to William being Annie's grandfather..
Maybe there was a dispute with her father??
Really odd,but I will get the birth cert and if Louis is her father then I don't suppose I will ever know what happened

Thank you...that is also strange..The father is a William and the mother is Louisa. and he is a labourer
I have the father's name from marriage cert and was told her mother's name by a relation.
I wonder if they were grandparents?
Just a long shot but could they have brought her up and she gave his name to the registrar?????
