Julie, if you're still around, please get in touch. My husband is a descendent of Andrew McNab and his daughter Harriet. A year after you did all this research I've spent the last 2 days doing the same. However, I think I have photographs of Andrew, Harriet and her children. I also have a Victorian photograph of Andrew McNab's tombstone. It would be good to connect!

Hi Cassy
Saw your tree on Ancestry before seeing your post here. Wow! I'd given up hope of finding anyone else researching this McNab family! I couldn't quite believe it when I saw those photos. I couldn't move forward much on Harriet's children until the Liverpool records came on line but you've obviously moved forward a fair bit.

I've gone backwards and sideways so may be able to fill in some gaps for you & hope you can do the same for me.

Joseph McNab, son of Harriet, had 5 children with Amelia Cross. They say they are married on the 1911 census but I have never found a marriage for them. Nor can I find a marriage for Harriet McNab and Thomas Young Kay.

I am presuming that Joseph was born to Harriet junior because of the circumstances and the baptism record but his birth certificate suggests it was Harriet senior because she gives her maiden name as Green.

If it was Harriet senior then my husband isn't a McNab descendant at all because Andrew was dead by 1866 as you know!

Great to hear from you. Will pm my e- mail address.

Julie

Hi Julie,
I am new to this site, but am interested in McNabs. I live in Australia. Last year I visited the Fort Hill house and the cemetery where Thomas Dick and his wife are buried, along with their children. I am happy to share info, but not sure what you need. Heather
