Jonesey
Thanks I will write and get a copy of his will, as you say he might have mentioned her in it.
I went into FMB and went back a year to 1872 and have found a Beatrice Alexandra BATTY born 4th quarter so will send for that birth cert. to see if maybe it is her.
Thanks again.

I wasn't disputing the date and month of her birth - just the year

She must have been born no later than 1872

Ivy

Ivy Report 17 Apr 2010 17:59

The witnesses were George Joseph Oliver and Ellen Ryan,
probably friends, the marriage certificate does not give an occupation.
Thanks

The Webber is definately not correct.
She was born in St. Pancras and she celebrated her birthday on Guy Fawkes Day.

No B.A.Webber was not her.
Thanks

One thing is clear - if she was 22 in May 1895, she was definitely not born in November 1873. Bearing out my comments re 1901 census

Or mine?

Basically the same - but such a terse, uninformative response does not encourage one to continue trying to help

I guess Ivy was answering my question.

Come on Ivy, string some information together.
It'll make helping a lot easier.

'From my father' - what?

And how about some thanks for the efforts people have put in?

Ivy

1881 Beatrice A Webber 1873/3 Plymouth with parents Charles 1825 and Jane A 1830.
1901 she is still at home with parents.
1911 at her cousin William henry webber.
Death in Plymouth 1944 Beatrice A Webber age 70 = 1874 5b 416.

So this looks like Beatrice Alexander Webber born 1873 in Plymouth Devon and not Beatrice Alexander Louth, what do you think.

Who were the witnesses on her wedding cert?
Possible siblings perhaps ?
and what was her occupation?
