could'nt find anything under the 1841 census for john as a Butcher Jan neither Frederick i had to go into Ancestry for this Bren
Got to go do my husband some food will come back later

Hi Jan thanks kindly for the help, the witnesses on the marriage cert are Thomas Goodwin and Elizabeth Berry
I have sent off for William Terry's death cert , might have some inf on it, when it comes back ! only sent for it this week.
I ll see if i can find anything from the 1841 census like you said living in Shoeditch

Another tantalising find! Not able to paste on here (problem with mouse) but there is a John Terry butcher on 1841 census, living Shoreditch. Easy to find if you look for son Frank born 1837. Wondered if a relative???

Thank you for your help , i dont know if he was born in London,
i found a William Robert Terry, Baptism 24 March 1833, Fathers name William JohnTerry, Mothers Name Matillda Webb St George of the Martyr Southwark
which is in the same area,,. im wondering if this was he's father
He did name he's son Robert William Terry, might be a connection some where

Hi there folks, need some help please please as review on the Terry's
Have now got the marriage certificate of the marriage of Virtue and William Terry marriage 1866 Newington Surrey
William's father is down as John Terry Bootmaker
And William himself b 1845 is down as butcher
I have searched for them on the 1861 Census to no avail looking for to find the family who his mother might be
Found the information on William's death died Jan feb March 1866
same year as their Marriage
They had a son who they named William Robert Terry.
Some of the past information is on my Threads

To top it up i found a William Terry on the 1861 Census age14 b 1847 adopted sun with Henry and Ann Hutchings Lambeth Waterloo Rd which is all in the same area, thanks kindly for any most welcome and appreciated help

Brenda,
If you get the marriage certificate of William Terry it will have his father's name on it.
Then that can help confirm any census entry as being correct or otherwise.

I did find a william terry at the age of 15 on the 1861 census Lambeth. this might be him!

someone related to the waller family have searched high and low for a marriage for virtue and william waller to no avail. he did marry after that to someone else pat

If this is her death:

then that would imply someone thought she had married again.

No Patricia , she went to live with a william waller in Newington London When her husband died i Their on the 1871 Census but dont think she married him. she died in 1871 herself . She went back to Norfolk With her child Robert Terry. He's on the 1871 Census with my Great Grandparens
