Nearest I can see Dorset - not very helpful! How did you come by the name? He is an able seaman according to original, as is nearly everyone else. Wonder if it's a ship? Will look further.

Yes that would be right in 1901 he was Ernt J Isaac on board vessel in Weymouth.

hi there thank you The only information I have is that his son George Fredrick married a Doris Rowe in 1939 from that address. he could possibly have been in the royal navy as his son is in the royal navy on the marriage certificate, but for father it says retired. It is also Isaac without the S

I wouldn't worry about the "s"! Much worse spellings have gone on believe me, and with the Navy connection it looks like a good bet.

When was George born? If we can find his birth record, it might be possible to trace the marriage of his parents, which will all offer clues.

The information given helps thank you. I may be able to track him further now. It is quite possible that he is the father of Fredrick. I may be able to find a marriage now with the birth date

All I know with the date is what is on the marriage certificate Fredrick George was given as 22 years old which would make him born in1917 or 1918

Thanks Jan i would like help. I am trying to look for family of my friend Nancy who was born out of wedlock to Doris Evelyn Rowe mmn Giles DOB Oct 1919 married Fredrick George Isaac on 23-09-1939 at Bridport Dorset 5a 1544. My other threads have helped with locating Doris from the London area. I cannot seem to get any further with the family after marriage. As I have said Fredrick was in the Royal navy when he married Doris. I have not found any children to this marriage so far. One helper came up with a brother for Doris and I think this possibly another lead but I have not followed it yet. The witness on the m.c. is a Alfred e Rowe The brother is Alfred Rowe mmn Giles born 1921 3Q reg district Limehouse G London vol1c pg 428. I wonder if there is any marriage or children records for him? Sorry to be so long replying I have just returned from a walk

Genda, I think you should have a good look at the deaths found by Dorothy, especially the Frederick George one.

I am thinking it might be the whole family moved there maybe?? It might be an idea to look at the address on her marriage cert, from this the electoral register could be searched on the off-chance other family members were living there.
