Daniel Lewis born 1834 a farmer at Blaen Baglan Farm. Nowdays that would be at the town of port talbot and maybe the village of cwmafan but then it might of come under neath .He had a daughter Martha who became Marth Mathias . Her husband died and she got married to David Evans of rhowyndu Llanwenog Lampeter. They lived in the village of cwmafan although it may have been known as michaelstone lower. I have recently been tracing a person under the name of Lewis in Ceredigion area. Their records office was brilliant. I sent them an email with all I knew and they emailed me back within a week with alot of info, I discovered a sister and brother of this person and where they lived over a period of time. It would be worth trying the local records office, they dont charge and are really helpful.

yes i was wondering about that. Sometimes it was just copied from the entry name above it as it wasn't filled in by themselves until 1911 census . I will look back at the images to see if i can work anything out!! As i said not being good at Welsh places i will look at a map and see how far apart places are from each other.

Thankyou Jan. I live in the village of Cwmafan myself then Cwmafan was the town ,now the town is Port talbot. Neath is about 8 miles from us and thats where the registry office is. Pembroke is about 60 miles away and i thought up until now David Evans Marthas second husbund came from Pembrokeshire , but he gives his birth place as Cwmafan, Lanchester is about 2oo miles or more from us i imagine . We are in South Wales right down the centre bottom 3 miles from coast, Thankyou Jan once again Hazel.
