You said that William was in the Forces. What was he doing during that time?

My mum thought he was in the Army but her cousin thought he was in the Navy.

I have Williams date of birth now, it was -

Birth: 28/10/1916 at 7 Landale Street, Cadgour Parish of Hamilton.

Sorry I couldn't find any Williams in either the Navy or Army only other Keenans. Maybe someone else might be able to help you there.

I have emailed both the Funeral Directors about these deaths, the second one replied with details but its not my William and the first one which I think is mine said " Unfortunately we no longer have full records going back to 1983 so we are unable to help you with your search for William Keenan."
Where do I go from here, any suggestions please?
