Thanks to all of you for the responses.
Re the marriages- I already know that Thomas did not marry the Mary Lynch. Family originally said Thomas' wifes name was MAY but the census record, checked by SomersetGirl on the previou thread, convinced me (and the relative who gave me MAY) that it was MARY because the address and daughter Theresa were right. I asked on this thread about the marriage to try and eliminate a MARY possibilty. We dont think there were any siblings and I am struggling to find the marriage (I am fairly new at this). I will have a look at the birth found by Christine and LancashireAnn and keep looking for the marriage. Thanks again everybody

I have seem where some one called Mary was May too

If i was you i would get the B/C for Mary thats been added on here....& i'll bet the 1st marriage i put on here is the correct one


I would also like to add....On his M/C and all the census my 2x Gt G/dad was down as William.....but he was registered Samuel at birth

Julie. Thanks. The first marriage I picked up when I started was the May Pickup one because of the Christian name then got sidetracked by the census name of Mary. Its a shame the mothers maiden name isnt on the birth. Looks like I will have to get the certificate after all. Many thanks.
