Jennie was travelling on her own. She gave her next of kin as Mrs. L Long of 5 Cliffe Terrace, Cragg Hill, Horsforth.

By 1911 David and Lily Long had moved to Burley Lane, Horsforth.

According to the Ellis Island site which is free she was going to join her brother, J. Carrick, Orchard (something?), Erie Co., New York. her brother paid for the voyage.

Just for this - entry states 'detained to meet her brother' - no names given

I'm ahead of you, Jacky. I also thought that the brother could have been Joe so I looked for a Joe or Joseph arriving at Ellis Island but had no luck. I also couldn't find him on the US 1910 census. He should be there, shouldn't he?
