hi somersetgirl i think you have found something.. have looked at the census for the stoker family and it looks like there is a spelling mistake ..have tried to find all the stoker family in earlier census and cannot trace them.. have sent for all relevent certs and will let you know thanks again to all those helped tankful regards karen

no its not at all. i have a birth cert plus some family back ground information. im sorry if you think iv wasted your time, that was not my intention.. iv been looking for a long time at this part of my family hand have always come up with nothing .. so i saw the records here and thought i would give it a try.. i dont profess to being an expert that is why i posted for help.. kind reagrds karen

no .. i spoke to an old family member earlier on, they gave me the last son to be born, to hannah has albert harris, he is still alive in swansea but i have no idea where...so iv looked and found dates names and places that match ... i really hope im not wrong, iv been looking into the 1911 and that edward married a mary... the only one with a son born in 1903 in horbury is the one with the surname has stoker.. king regards karen

You haven't acknowledged the 1911 posting - I think it would be good idea to do so............

hi again flick.. right found some info.... hannah remarried in swansea amj 1920..11a 2734 to a charles j harris, but i cant find the death of edward stephen stokes that corrisponds with the age he would have been ..this is getting confusing, if they married in uppingham, would you know which district i would obtain marriage cert ...

The birth in 1863 in Oakham matches the info on 1911 - Whissendine is in OAKHAM district

i have no idea flick ... at all i dont know where either of them originate fro.. there was talk that maybe hannah came from lemington spa but iv found no leads.. thought she may have been born 1880 but if they got married in 1893 this would be unlikely
