Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me, I'm trying to find my great great grandfather Thomas David Williams. I have limited information on him, I cant find him on any census forms. He had my great grandfather around 1942 in Aldershot, Hampshire. I have a marriage certificate of marriage for my great grandfather Albert Harry Williams who married Olive Moody in 1890 in Goole. It states that Thomas was deceased and that his profession was a Quartermaster. Albert Harry Williams then moved to Rotherham Yorks. This is where my grandparents were born. Albert died in 1907 on his death certificate it his parents were Thomas David and Jenny Williams.

Have you looked on freebmd for a possible death for Thomas?

Was Albert a bachelor when he married Olive?

Thank you for your reply Flick. I did mean Jenny Thomas's wife had Albert in 1842. Although I question the as Albert was age32 when he married Olive in 1890 and a widower. He died age 49 in Rotherham in1907 which would make his birth date around 1858.
I have looked for Thomas's death, but have only found one Thomas David Williams who died in Bedwelly in 1862. As I have no information on Thomas I'm not sure where he was born or lived after Albert was born.

Well, 1842 is definitely not correct for his birth year, based on the other info........

The snag is that he seems to appear from nowhere in 1891............there isn't a record on previous censuses for anyone of the name born in Aldershot.

Thanks for your reply. The reason I question the date was that Albert married Olive in 1890 in Goole a widower aged 32. He died in Rotherham age 49 in 1907, by my calculations this would mean he was born around 1858.
I have no information on his father Thomas David Williams, where he was born or died.

Albert was a widower when he married Olive. His occupation was a groom which he carried on most of his life. I have the information on the the 1891 census but thank you for taking the time I appreciate it very much. I have looked on the BMD to try and find his previous marriage no luck so far. Also I don't know wether he had any siblings or not. I just at a loss as to where Thomas was born and died. I thought being a quartesmaster I would have found something about him.
I did find a Thomas David williams death in Bedwelly in 1862 but I'm not sure if it is him.

Albert died in Rotherham Yorks, his parents names Thomas David and Jenny Williams. Thomas was a quartermaster but what sort I don't know. I also don't know if there was anymore children. I'll keep on looking.
