Can some one help please ?
Need to tie up a few loose ends! there are 2 families i wish to find in 1911.
i did have info on one of the families but for some reason cannot find the info .so unlike me !!
Firstly a William B Clark b 1875 Bilston Wolv
Mary Emily wife b 1882 Stoke n trent
John L SON b 1906. stoke n trent
I knew they moved when John was aged about 3/4
and Knew they lived Salop st Bradley when he was a boy.
The info that i had before was in oxford st Bilston i think they were lodging with some one. but what year i do not know.
probably before moving to Bradley. William was a Puddler
and i think His wife was a cleaner or servant of some sort .

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The other family is from my husbands side
Louisa Fullard b 1911 Bilston wolv. i do not know if she will be on it as she was b 1911.
Her parents John / Alice Fullard b 1878 both John Sedgley Alice Bilston.
siblings i think should be on there are ,,,,,,,,
Alice K ,, John ,,,Lilian,,,Dorothy,,,
they were last living Mill st Bilston on 1901 census.

i am truly thankful to all helpers and do not wish to put on people
but my money at the moment is being spent elsewhere and i do not have access to the 1911 census.
Thanking you all in advance

Flo

Sorry Ann no he was the only son born.

I have been trying to remember what was in the info some one gave me ,its been so long!!
I think William was a different age , he did lie about his age in the army so thats nothing afresh, and i think Emily name was spelt different such as Amy or emmy?but i cannot say just guessing here? all i remember is Oxford st Bilston
and they were lodgers but it only had infant for John the son. she was a servant or cleaner ?

Flo
So between stoke n trent and Bradley they lodged in Bilston.
By the way she often went by her second name !

Just thought of something !! house duties!! thats what it had for emily and the number was in the hundreds i,m sure , some thing like 170. hope this is of help. She was b hanley.
also they were not lodgers they were visiters!!! i.m sure it was 1911 info!! sorry about this Ann.!

Hello Ann,

Really grateful for yours and VAls help. also i was close with the number and i do remember her name not being spelt quite right, the only problem is i remember she telling me there was a infant / child whether his name was there or not? i do not know perhaps it was the people they were living with had the infant / child listed with them instead ? perhaps a mistake !! It certainly was that address
173 oxford st Bilston.
anyway thanks for all your help really do appreciate this 1

And you Val thank you!!

Hello Florence,

The child in question is John Lewis Clark 1906 is that correct?

Just had a look at the original census form and it does state married 6 years 1 child born to the marriage and 1 child living! So where is he?

You would take a guess at him being in Wolverhampton area near his parents.

What was the mothers maiden name? (mary emily)

Florence

Florence Report 11 Jul 2010 17:35

Hello Ann,
Thats correct !! thats the info she gave me ! thank you !!! his mother was Hilditch he was an only child.
perhaps he was at school or maybe visiting some one.

I have all the info before and after
but thats all i seem to come up with on 1911
i know they lived Salop st Bradley when he was a boy,
perhaps thats where he was number 10 with a neighbour.
there was an auntie of williams his father in same st but she lived 96
oxford st i have her 1911 census and he was not with her..

Hi Florence,

Just am unable to spot him at the moment, it could well be he is missing from the census, there were plenty of people for some unknown reason that went AWOL. What I did notice was there were no CHILDREN AT ALL AT 173 OXFORD ST.

There are many reasons why we cant find him at the moment, he could have been badly mistranscribed by name or age.

Florence Report 11 Jul 2010 17:51

Hello Ann,

I took the info as being them because i could not find them anywhere else.
Knowing they moved by then from Hanley to Salop st Bradley.Williams parents John and margaret had died by then1901/02. so it cannot be them they were visiting.
Mary his aunt a school teacher lived close by no 96.
Perhaps her parents moved there also names being emily and William Hilditch.
Or perhaps he was with them back in Hanley ?

Ann ,

You have been a star!! and i thank you very much for your time, much appreciated. i really thought in the first place they should have been in salop st has thats what William
had on his army record1914. John apparently moved from Hanley abt the age of 3/5 but when someone ages ago checked it out all she found is what you have found,
so i have took it as you say a mistake, It would be nice to know exactly where he was , but you cannot have everything you wish for can you? thanks again Ann.
And i,m making sure this time i will not lose info i have printed it .
By the way thank you for the extra info on his grandparents i did not have that ! thanks
