I am thinking Margarets 1st husband could have died in WW1 as not seeing a death. There are a few John Unsworth's that died in the war but not sure which one he would be?

Think you really need to purchase your dad's birth certificate. It will list Margaret's surname from her first marriage also.

Pamela,

Having children in your late 30s/early 40s is not unusual.

Rose

jax

jax Report 10 Jul 2010 22:50

They look like her children and she must have been early 40s when she had your dad and his brother. Do you know when Margaret died and where?

jax

jax Report 10 Jul 2010 22:48

The 3 girls you mentioned are with margaret, although Jonathan seems to have an Elizabeth with him in 1911

Pamela,

I found Ernest and Joseph's births on FreeBMD.

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

I couldn't find a Jackson/Carr marriage that fits so I guessed Margaret was married before. I then looked for a Margaret A Jackson marrying an Unsworth and there was only one match and it was in Prescot.

Prescot is the registration district for St Helens.
