I have answered 3 queries today from people wanting to know how to trace ancestors who moved to the US


This is a very interesting site to see .... and it's FREE

This free site offers access to an extraordinary database of information on 11 million immigrants from 1820 through 1892, the year Ellis Island opened. Over 100 million Americans can trace their ancestors to this early immigration period.



After 1892, always go to www.ellisisland.org


You have to register on Ellis Island, but it is FREE to use.
