Hi Patchem
Yes, this thread reaffirmed a lot of the stuff in my own tree. Pattern Evans (1836-1923) and her husband Benjamin Jaundrell (1834-1898) were my 2nd great grandparents. My line stems from their son George (1856-1910).
I have not been able to find Pattern Evans in the 1841 census either. Her mum Anne Wright (was Evans nee Rhodes is on there) with second husband Robert Wright and his children (plus Anne's youngest daughter Ann Evans aged 1 year). Anne's other children Enoch (1828), Maria (1829), Thomas (1831) and Robert (1835) are also conspicuous by their absence in 1841. They may be out there, badly mistranscribed, but I have had no joy finding them as yet.
Regards

Thank-you ChessterGB - I had wondered what had happened since 2010 and what the update would be about, but had not guessed that it would be useful for someone else.

Wow girls - thank you sooo much!
Had one of THOSE days yesterday so didnt get on but I really really appreciate all that you have found! You are dogged in your determination to get to the bottom of something lol - which is only good for those of us less knowledgable!
Thanks again Vanessa x

Sorry Choccy,
I seem to have missed that - it looks right to me.
I have also been wondering if Pattern could be Sarah ?
Not found any proof yet though.

Dea, I think I found Ann in 1841 - step-daughter of Robert Wright - posted on page 1. Unusually, the relationship is on the image.
I am beginning to wonder if Pattern is on the 1841 as Sarah? Age is a bit out, though.

Thank you ladies-you have been working hard! :0)
We believe the Richard Evans/Ann(e) Rhoades marriage to be the correct parents of Thomas!
Potty, could I be so cheeky as to ask you to paste the census info that you have found for Patern/Patience - it would give us something else to work on.
Again many thanks for the continual efforts of all!

Yes, Patricia, Patern/Patian is proving very elusive in 1841! I can find a marriage in 1855 to a Benjamin Jaundrell and find them on the 1861 and some following census but not the 1841!

Hi Patricia & Potty
Yes, that is Thomas in 1851! Further digging in 1841 needed - using the other children to cross ref is a good idea - lateral thinking!
Thanks for all your contributions! Vanessa
