it was definately 1878 she was born, but records could be wrong,or she could have changed her birth year, you see, there is the other annie from the hainsworth family, but im really unsure as to which one, this annie from the chaffer side seems to move about alot, assuming it is the same person,as my annie would have done

This is the only Annie Louisa born in 1878

Births Dec 1878   (>99%)
HARDISTY  Annie Louisa    Knaresbro'  9a 112

Which makes her the other family

it is definately one or the other,so frustrating, maybe i will look on the trees and see if there is any other people with the chaffer family on and see if any have annie and harold on,and do the same with the hainsworth one too,not sure what else can do,im very grateful to you, could spend weeks doing this, very interesting,am determined to get to the bottom of this, before i die,and hope that not yet so got lots of time

Annie Louise's father is a soldier as Sarah is down in 1881 as Soldiers wife which could explain her not appearing on 1891 census if she was with her father abroad.

I have a regimental sergeant major in my tree who was station in Ireland and Cairo and his family was with him. One child being born in Eygpt

right, yes ,on the hainsworth one,i didnt think about any wars on then, but they still will have been postings abroad,im still thinking the chaffer one ,but its the dates,i dont want to sound ungrateful but i must go to bed now as it is gone midnight and have to be up early,i will continue looking tomorrow with all the info you have given me tonight, and thankyou so much, wish i could stop up all night and carry on ,goodnight tootyfruity

I think you need to get Harold's birth cert as this hopefully will have Annie's full name with or without an L

The 1877 birth would fit the age for Annie as the census records were taken before her birthday.

What information do you have which confirms Annie has a middle name?
