Maybe for Elizabeth??? Daventry covers Weedon, the place given for Elizabeth's birth in 1861. William and Thomas are both given as Northampton.

Just as a matter of interest, how do you know that this is the correct family if you don't have any birth certificates and the children don't appear on any census records with their father please? Which one is your ancestor and do you have that ancestor's marriage certificate please?

Do you know what Rebecca's maiden surname was please?

if your sure that its your elizabeth/mary elizabeth rogers knight i can,t seam to find a marriage for your grandfather william knight to rebecca rodgers unless it was mispelt but have search under soundtex & still nothing i think you will maybe have to send for the marriage cert of the knight & madge to confirm fathers details or do you remember anyone mentioning the name madge

Jacky - I am not sure that we actually know Rebecca's maiden surname. We need Valerie to come back and tell us which certificates that she actually has to prove that this is the correct family. If she is working back from a marriage certificate of one of the children, it will only give the father's name and occupation. Rebecca's children do not seem to appear on any census records with their father as they were all under 10 years old in 1861.

hi rootgather,my grt,grandmothers name was REBECCA LINNELL RODGERS BORN,litchorough st giles northants in 1831; my grt, grandfather was WILLIAM KNIGHT BORN ,CROPWELL BISHOP NORTHANTS in 1831 ??;i don`t know if thay was married or knot; (but i dont know if he died or thay partted, )when my graet grandmother rebecca was about 27-29 ; i was told thy moved to birmingham, thay had 3 children, elizabeth mary knight born 1854;
thomas rodgers knight born1858 weeden beck northants; and william knight born 1859 northants, thomas was my grandfather,i remember my auntie telling me some of my info,thats how i can give you bits of info,i do hope this info was of some help to you,i look forward to hearing from you kind regards val x

hi jacky, i have been looking for some more in fo in my aunties papers and found that my grate grandfather and thomas rodgers knight in the 1901 census was living in a boarding house in noville st.birmingham as a general labourer, and in 1902 thomas my grandfather married priscilla harriet ann brown on october 7,1902 in the register office birmingham,i do hope the info i have given you and rootfinder help full i look forward to hearing from you , thanks again, kind regards val xx

i can,t find anything on william at all after he left the household where he lived with his mother & brother thomas he seam to just dissapear ?? i think we have exhausted all allyways for your grandad thomas as you seam to have all that infomation but william is proving to be elusive
