Looking at the tree on Ancestry, Rosina was wife no 1 and Matilda wife no 2 as someone said previously. Also Richard's grandfather was from Cork in Ireland.

Here's a possible marriage for Annie: it would make her 16 at the time but it's the only Annie Hartnett with no middle name. Circumstantial as we don't know if she actually married.

Annie Hartnett
Spouse Surname: James A Littlejohn
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1937
Registration district: Chelsea
Registration county: Middlesex
Volume Number: 1a

Do you have Ancestry?

Are you in/near London cos you might be able to find out more at the London Metropolitan Archives. They have school admission registers -amongst other things- which I have found very useful in the past.

Did you know any of the siblings or just your gran?

Maxine

Maxine Report 10 Aug 2010 13:03

it makes me wonder why they never talked about the family,it must have been terrible to lose a daughter in her prime, she must have been a real looker as my grandmother would say,my grandmother was a stunning looking lady her self when she was young,so margaret must have been too.
