Find Ancestors

i am trying to find the details of their births and deaths .william i think was born before 1930 and edward was born in about 1940 their mothers name was jones or gallagher and born in garstang lancashire or birmingham,but they both died in birmingham.

The info on the seal family is brill i am going into birmingham to get sidney's birth certificate as i am no closer to finding out his parents names .i'm now doing his moms side which is just as hard i have been on that web site and keep drawing a blank on edward and william for both births and deaths .

Why don't you just add this to your other thread Lynn. It's about the same people isn't it?

i have been on freebmd today and i've drawn a complete blank on edward and william if i put birth dates or not nothing comes back but i will keep trying .

yes it is the same people, i just didn't know how to do it ?because even after asking for help i've kept trying,not easy when you are new to all this and have no info on these people ,but i will keep trying.

I have only just realised that the others which you had already found in Birmingham appear to have been registered under Gallacher, not Gallagher. That is - the Thomas, Raymond and James and also the Myra that I found for you on the other thread.

What is really confusing me about all this is, why would there names all be Johnston but with 2 different mother maiden names? Are you sure that you have the right birth for Margaret?
Do you know their mothers Christian name please Lynn?

i have got the right birth for margaret as she was my mother in law, and when i cross checked her parents marriage they married in garstang in june 1927 their names were lizzie jones and thomas johnston,and margaret was born in garstang if i could find william who was the eldest it would confirm that her record is correct,margaret never spoke about her parents i know her mom died before the dad and they both died in birmingham ,but whether she was her mom or step mom i don't know it's all so confusing margaret's birthday was 27th may 1930 and she died 23rd january 2007 making her 76 when she died,so where gallacher came from i don't know a second marriage ,or her mom died ! also there was another daughter who was about 3 or 4when she died in an accident who was born after margaret but i don't know any more it's all hearsay thats been passed around at family get togethers

I imagine that it's because they were her sisters and brothers that you know the names of all the others?

I have just been looking and the only death for a Lizzie Johnston in Birmingham I can find is this one - which would have made her about 56/57 when Myra was born. Perhaps not impossible but fairly unlikely I would have thought?

What makes you think the other births with mmn Gallacher are the same family? It's all very confusing.
Have you got Margarets marriage certificate?

well she did have children over a long period of time cause margaret was born in 1930 and william was born before that and myra in 1948,so back then you just don't know thank you so much for all your help

When you say 'when you trace her birth it states dad as Thomas' what do mean trace? If you haven't got her birth certificate where did you get the name Thomas from please?

It sounds on the face of it as though you perhaps either have the wrong marriage or the wrong birth. You need to start from what youabsolutely know for a fact and work backwards. Do you know for instance that those children born with mmn Gallacher are definitely her brothers and sisters?
