Hi Michael.

Definitely not this guy as he would have been approximately eleven years younger than his son who was born around 1879!!

Thanks anyway

Hi Choccy.

Could Carl be a spelling mistake?

Hello Alison,

There are a couple that suit DOB on the 1861 census, I would suggest if you have his birth reg, that you send for the cert to verify his parents names. A middle name was not always recorded so he may be down as just Frederick

If you dont have access to the 1861 census i can post you the info?

Hi Gwyn.

Thanks I had them married, but not where or when, but guessed it was somewhere in London as that is where his wife was born. Hi wife's mother's maiden name was French.

Hi folks. I am struggling with Frederick John as the 1891 says he wasa born in Birmingham with the spelling of Baylis which has changed by spelling mistake to Bayliss. His wife was Caroline Alice Earl and his children were Frederick William and Florence Lilian. His occupation was wood carver/carrier.

Please help. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to find him and his parents?

Thanks.

Alison
