James had an older brother. Henry, b.1854, married Selina Sharp 1877. As we now have a shipping record entry for Claus Hn Dittmer (see above post from Jane), it seems he came to England in 1846. I would love to know his place of origin in Hannover.

James had an older brother, Henry, b. 1854, who married Selina Alice Sharp in 1877. According to the shipping record entry posted above by Jane, Claus Henrich arived in England in 1846. I would love to know where in Hannover he came from.

although that one is Dittman I note that the majority of Dittmer's do come from the same area
