Find Ancestors

Looking for any info on Shedrick E Armitage born 1893 in Manchester. Think the middle name maybe Edith!
Her parents were Edith Armitage(Smith) and George Armitage.She had sisters called Eleanor,Cecilia and Georgina.
She maybe on the 1911 census if anyone could help there. Any help with her would be great as I am struggling finding her.

I don't know if this is your Edith......its just i can't see a birth for Shedrick

I know it is nothing like Shedrick but the only Armitage birth in the correct registration district for Eastham (the birthplace given on the 1901 census) with a middle initial of E which is given is this one:-

If that is Ediths 1st marriage then going by the dates Shedrick ? was born she might not be an Armitage

But at the mo the only birth showing for an Edith & Thomas Beddow is this one, middle name should be Gwen

KAth - I was just looking at the info Julie posted and thought that "Shedrick" may have been from the mother's first marriage. That one may still be a possibility as she may have reverted to her registered surname when she was old enough to decide for herself?

The 1894 marriage which Julie found is indexed on Lancs bmd it indicates this is the 2nd marriage for Edith Beddow...her name was formally Smith.

The marriage took place at St Mary, Moston, Manchester.

As Edith Beddow only married George Armitage in 1894... maybe this is "Shedrick" who was born in Cheshire unlike the other siblings.

I don't have access to the census anymore to dig deeper but to me this is how it looks

Edith was born a Smith, she married Thomas Hill Beddow Sept 1885( hes 2nd marriage)

Thomas died in Mar 1894
& Edith married George Armitage in Jun 1894


According to the IGI this is the only child showing for Edith & Thomas....her middle name on the IGI was showing as Gwen
