hi, I cant seem to find the marriage of Henry and Mary. if the census you have posted are mine then they must have married between 1861 and 1861. The ones I have found on BMD seem to be in Wales. I don't have the 1891 census here is the 1901 census.

1901 Ancestry

Name: Mary Bevan Age: 62 Estimated birth year: abt 1839
Relation: Head Gender: Female
Where born: Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, England
Civil parish: Aston
Ecclesiastical parish: St Andrew
County/Island: Warwickshire
Country: England

Registration district: Aston
Sub-registration district: Deritend
ED, institution, or vessel: 77
Household schedule number: 187
Name Age

Mary Bevan 62 widow
William Bevan 21 Occ:Carpenter born Birmingham

If someone could check on the census page it might give the name of the birthplace for Mary, that might help.

This is a bit of a headache, I am waiting for the birth cert for William to confirm parents names with what I have.

Thanks for any help you can give

well

that 1901 census says Mary was born in Ashby de la Zouche, Leicesterhsire

if that is your Henry, he was born in Marstow, Hereford

and William was apparently born in Birmingham

they liked to move around didn't they?!

Hi Sylvia nice to hear from you, I am pleased I have Henrys birth right, have you been able to find a marriage for him and Mary? Could you find the 1891 Census, if I can find these I will be done until the certs arrive.

Thanks
Kathy

I am not convinced that the census details match up to all the criteria.. They were suggestions

You say you have them 1911. Please could you post that as I am not seeing anything obvious.

I cannot see 1891 that makes sense as yet. 1871 with Mary born Brecknock shire does not feel right. It is a long way from Leicestershire but is only Henry born Herefordshire in that time frame.

This is the only result for mary 1891 but does not look right.
