But the Henry born in Marstow is in the last 1881 census posted. here fore he is unlikely to be your Henry. |

Hi, I have William Bevan born Birmingham 1880, his wife Jessie nee Bloomer in 1911 census, his mother Mary who was a widow was also living with them, she was said to be born Ashby de la Zouch Liecestershire. In 1901 William was living with his mother, she stated she was born in the same place, she was also a widow. I don’t have 1891 but in 1881 she was living with Henry her hubby and her son William, she still gave her birthplace as Ashby de Zouch Liecestershire. So I don’t think that the 1881 census you found was for the family. However I have found this birth that seems to fit- Henry Bevan 1838 Marstow Hereford Father Christopher Bevan, Mother Amelia Jenkins |

hi, yes I agree with you they both look unlikely, I will keep the 1961/71 on record for now. If you come across any that might fit please let me know. Thanks very much for your help |

I cannot see 1891 that makes sense as yet. 1871 with Mary born Brecknock shire does not feel right. It is a long way from Leicestershire but is only Henry born Herefordshire in that time frame. |

I am not convinced that the census details match up to all the criteria.. They were suggestions |
