That is where I went wrong earlier.
The proof is in 1901 when John widow of Mary Ann (Frost) was with daughter in law Lucy Ann (Lane) widow of George.

The George who married Mary Jane Jones is the son of George 1826 and Amy Hollins.

Thanks again for your tireless work-my sister in law seems to think that Albert Bedford bn 1901 barnsley is Eileen Loxley bn 1935 i think ( nee Bedford) father that's what a relation of has suggested but I can't see it myself.

Can I just ask you if these people are still alive or have they died as i don't want to post info if they are living.

The Albert you mention was actually born in 1900 - he hadn't had his birthday when the census was taken.
His Army papers are on Ancestry; they say he was a butcher by trade.

I think maybe it is time to purchase birth certificate of Eileen Bedford to determine who her dad was.
Can't find marriage of Harry to Hilda Rowsley.

Did she have Claude 1930 then marry a Leach in 1933.

That is a strange one in itself.
Claude mum nee Bedford then Claude mum nee Roadley /Leach.

Are we sure that Claude's mum is not Hilda bedford born 1909 to Thomas and Frances(Haigh).??

There was Albert bedford married May Crabtree in Thorne Yorkshire O /N/D 1934 9c 1773

Another birth Geoffrey L Bedford nee Crabtree A/M/J 1926 9c 1662 in Goole the same as Eileen. There was death for Geoffrey l bedford in Goole 1942 age 16.

So could this be Albert and Mays children ??

May born 18/5/1903 died in Goole in 1985 age 82 ref 7 334.

Albert Bedford died Goole 1939 age 39 9c 1656

It is looking more likely that Albert Bedford 1900 married May in Thorne and had Geoffrey L Bedford 1926 died 1942 and Eileen J M Bedford married Loxley.

Thanks for continuing-yes they are all dead-Harry Bedford married Hilda Rowsby -not Rowsley, Claudes wife says that Hilda was young when she had Claude about 17 I think ,I will check with her I think she has Claudes birth certificate.Please don't give up just yet.

Just remembered Eileen Loxleys mothers maiden name was Crabtree does that help.

Yes Eileen's mum was Crabtree as was mum of the Geoffrey L Bedford I posted.
Thats why I think their parents are Albert Bedford 1900 and may Crabtree 1903 both died in Goole as posted.

Claudes mum is posing a bit of a problem,as I'm sure she married Ernest leach in 1933 Barnsley and as no marriage for Harry and Hilda is showing up.

If you have Claude's birth certificate that should say who his dad was and where they lived at the time.Still can't understand why his mum would be Bedford.

Well I have looked and looked there are no Hilda Rowsley births at anytime.
First time Hilda Rowsley mentioned is at her marriage 1933 to Ernest leach and on one of births for Claude Bedford 1930 when it says mum neeBedford or nee Rowsley/Leach.

A case of mistranscription I think.
