Hi, can anyone help me find details for Victoria Snazel.
She was born in 1910 in Bedford and married Reginald Wootton.

Sorry there is so little info but as its an unusual surname I was hoping to find records easily but as do not have access to the 1911 records am struggling a bit.

No but I know that she married Reginal Wootton in Bedfordshire so was able to check I had the surname right.

Looks like they may have changed there name as it sounds a bit German?

yes we suspect she was german but could never find out much about her

Although there is no evidense that they were looking at the name on ancestry

If those are her sisters Florence died as a baby but Grace also married in Bedford so I would think they would be in that area in 1911 but who knows?? Thomas william Snazel was born 1880 in west ham but I cannot see a death or migration for him

Just looking for clues to a name change

I have tried looking for all the Grace's and Victoria's living in Bedfordshire and Essex on the 1911 born at the right time but not found anything

Weve looked at every possible option for Victoria on the 1911 census and nothing is showing

I was wondering if she was adopted at some point or taken in by other family members?

No I don' but I am going into bedford town where I can look up the marriage banns so hopefully will find out more there.

I've now found out that Lettia's surname was Sceates.

This is quite funny as this tree is not my partner's but his suname is Skeates!!!!!
