Hello Just an update on here... I have been given the details of a marriage for John by a message....he married Emily Budd in 1861 in Havant...so I was well off with Emily Staff,,,,,,on the 1861 census he was a widower married in the Sept of that year to Emily...

I did look on the London Marriages but could'nt find the one with John Reed and Emily Staff on there but they may not cover Kent Woolwich.

I havent followed her though on census yet....I will have to do later today....I may still be wrong

thank you both...I didnt think you would be back...I have been having a lot of trouble with the spelling of Reed..he was actually born in Whaddon Cambridge.. Thank you for correcting the info..I used to be on Ancestry but changed to Genes to open the 1911 census ....But could you open it on genes lol...I found the page but couldnt find him..

Maybe? I think the image says Reid, and Emily is definitely 47 not 67! He is a gardener.
