Thanks Reggie, You could be right about Barbara and I think 1947 Susan is probably Gertrude's daughter. :-) |

The only Susan I can see registered with MMN Stephens was born in 1947 |

Perhaps the info about 'Barbara' was inaccurate, in the way that Mr Winship's first name was |

Still can't find a birth, marriage or death for Barbara Winship. But I've been told she died in her thirties. |

Found a marriage for Rosetta Johnson to William E. Harding 1923 Southampton. I can't keep up with all these marriages....... :-S |

Looking back on this thread Janey/Canuck has mentioned a marriage to John Smith. So that fits with what you found. Like she says ...rather unfortunate that his name is John Smith..... :-S |

maybe there was a later divorce from MR Smith and she lived with Henry as the only birth for them comes up pre 1954 |

That seems to fit well although her birth reg is 2c 104. Interesting that it's the right birth year though. I wonder if that's her. Thanks for that. I might get her birth certificate and see if the date matches. If it is she lived longer than I thought. Thanks very much. |

Thanks. They are all in my contacts and don't have anything except her birthdate and place. I've found a death for a Gertude A. Smith but she was born in 1906. I'l have to keep trawling through Smith deaths. Could take a while.... I was told that she may have died from a brain tumour so may not have lived a particularly long life. Thanks for your help. |

What Janey is suggesting is that you should try the Search Trees facility at the top of the page, and contact those people to see if they share your ancestor and can help. |
