Patricia
some one may be able to use the location results
Overseas and military deaths
of 56 Volume 7 page 632 to search on another subscription.

Just wait a little while to see what comes up.
there must be another way to find the death year record.
Have you tried free reg. or pilot search?

About the spelling of Suskin, I looked and cant find a location with that, wondering what else it could be.

Pollypoppet is the only one I can think of that does, but not seen her for a while.

If the exact year is given I will look it up on FMP.

Patricia tried to email me a saved copy of the document but it didn't work.

I know you can save images to hard drive, as a file, at Ancestry and FMP -- anybody know whether images at GR can be saved that way?

Or if anybody who subscribes at that site can take a look at the link Patricia gave.

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 15 Nov 2010 21:57

I think it will for anyone who pays big money at this site. ;)

Virtually none of us does (other sites are better value for money), but hopefully someone who does will come along. Meanwhile, anything else you can provide from that document might help.

Will this work?

You kind of need to say where you discovered this, Patricia, for anyone else to replicate it and maybe look at the details if someone has the right subscription.

There's always the emigration possibility -- for instance:

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/passengerListPersonSearchStart.action

KNOTT Geo 1863 M 1902 Liverpool USA Portland

although that particular George seems to have been travelling with wife Eliza and son Geo Hy and daughter ... Osber.

Patricia, you can order certificates on-line from General Records Office (GRO) at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

They cost £9.25.

You'll need the reference for the birth, which you'll get from FreeBMD (but come back if you get stuck).

Just for info, there's no George Knott or George Nott in the Imperial Yeomanry in the Anglo-Boer War c1901, always a possibility.

http://www.britishmedals.us/files/iyn.htm

I suspect the couple was estranged rather than that she was widowed.
