Yes u'r right, I was thinking maybe the Harry, ( born 1920 ) was the Harry that married Sophia but he died 1942 and his mother's name was Mayes???.

Sorry for jumping in Girls but like, you I don't think that Harry Ditchfield is the correct man.

1911 Census with Harry Ditchfield (the only entry that shows for Harry Hurst and a birthplace of Manchester)

HOUSEHOLD HURST HARRY DITCHFIELD M 1891 20 Chorlton Lancashire


using the free search facility he appears to be the son of George and Sarah.

If he married then this is the only Harry D marriage coming up on FreeBMD
