Find Ancestors

I have hunted out on freebmd & Teesvalley Indexes for a marriage of a Thompson to a Rhoda..unfortunately I have drawn a blank!

I think this may need to go on the back burner for a while!

All information above is correct, that is my direct line of Thompsons

I know that the

mother Miriam died 1900 Middlesbro.

Dau Miriam died 1899 age 20yrs Middlesbro

dau sarah married Thomas Stainsby in 1892 at Middlesbro

son James........................................

dau Hannah married William Honeyman in 1890 at Middlesbro.

son william married Elizabeth Mills in Midddlesbrough 1887
(my 2xgt grandfather.)

I think 2nd son William (age3) in the 1881 census has been mistranscribed and should be Miriam who is age 13 in the 1891 census.

So that just leave's the other son James who could have possibly married Rhoda, although i cant find a marriage that fit's!

James is single on the 1901 and so he might very well have married and died between 1901 and 1911. Because of the name, it is difficult to pin point a death for him, if indeed, he did in fact die! It is also difficult to pin point him if he is on the 1911 census.
I suppose it is possible that Rhoda was James partner but they didnt marry.

I do know I have the right Thompson line as James & Ethel are my gt grandparents,
I have william born 1864 birth certificate & marriage not Death.

What makes you think that this is the person you are looking for Linda??

Only it is quite possible that Thompson is not Rhoda's maiden name at that she could be sister in law to William Thompson.

Rhoda did not marry Addison Thompson at all.
Confirmed via another members tree.

I am in a mixed up now I was hoping her parents were going to be William & Miriam Thompson...I have Rhoda Thompson at her brothers house in 1911 stating she is widowed...That is the first sighting I have found on census.
