when u mention david clarks death1846 then say not sure about that as there was a child born 1849 could u tell me the name of the child please
in your opinion thomas was known as clark not ranson ??

On the 1851 Census Amos Clark is 11 on the 1861 he is 12 the birth reg that I could find which was Amos Clarke 1849.

On the earlier census's he seemed to be known as Clark but if those are his marriages...he married as Ranson

i ,have recieved a marriage cert for thomas james edgar ranson
marr cert reads
1859 st peters ipswich
sep 27th thomas james edgar ranson 22 batchelor sawyer fathers name & surname no names given
emma ellis 21 spinster fathers name john ellis
witnesses isaac trender x his mark, adelaide ellis .
emma died 1861 see replies on thread
thomas remarried as a widower to mary ann culpit 1863

Why would she have two sons called Thomas? Or are you saying this is not your Thomas?

i m not sure as yet as marr cert does not give name for thomas james edgar ransons father
ii told distant rellie of this marr cert a short while ago
they mentoned thomas robert ranson as her son

Well as His mother was'nt married to his father perhaps he did'nt know who he was, and the Clark chap obviously was'nt then.

If this distant rellie knows that Thomas Robert Ranson is her son maybe you could find out how?
