William 1839-1839 preston
Mary 1840-1920
Wiliam 1842-1918
John 1844-
robert 1847- 1903
James 1850-1869
Jane 1849
Agnes 1853- 1880
Alexander 1856-
Thomas 1858-1859
most of these where born in preston but the 1851 census shows them living in Burnley. In the memories it mentioned that she had some twins they she had to take to work with her in the mills, please can you help me find the missing children thankyou

thanks lancashire Ann i think Alexanders mum died in 1858 and i cant find any record of William McDuff his father born 1816 London after the 1851 Census

lancashireAnn

lancashireAnn Report 28 Nov 2010 13:46

I would guess that the Ages(s) shown in the workhouse is a different one as she was born in Scotland.

Alexander could have been in the workhouse with an infection as they were also used as hospitals. Preston Royal Infirmary was not built until 1868.
