Margaret...
I started doing this about 7 yrs ago. I wanted to know where my Dads middle name and my Grannies name came from.

I found my grannies but my Dads goes way back to my brick wall.

Ah, just like my grandfather's middle name. We thought at first that it was his mother's maiden name but turned out to be his grandmother's. Led us astray at first.

Thank you Margaret.
I take it two of the Eliza's must've died as you wouldn't have 3 daughters called Eliza?

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 29 Nov 2010 13:39

Sandra, I would think yes, they are all Dugald & Eliza's because they all have Eliza's maiden name, although the last one has her name as Steppens. (Just an error?)
Not unusual back then to have children for 20 years.

Sandra

Sandra Report 29 Nov 2010 09:49

Margaret, are all those children Dugald and Eliza's?
There are 3 Elizas and there's 20 years between the first and last child, (sorry for being a bit thick.)

Sandra

Sandra Report 29 Nov 2010 09:34

Margaret, I haven't a clue who he is but then again, my whole family seems to end up like that, haha. Why did they have to keep passing the same name to each generation (so confusing)

Thank you very much Margaret, I'll have to try and find out who he is, I appreciate all your help.
