I had another look at Annie's birth cert and wonder if the POB was Knockneen?

I have found the farm on various censuses, spelt a number of different ways!

had another look this morning but am afraid I cannot find anything more. There is a death for a Jane McAdam in Stranraer in 1861 but she was 46 - a bit old to have had a child in 1860 but possible I suppose.

Can find nothing for Williamina except the birth.

Dumfries FHS (http://www.dgfhs.org.uk/index.htm) have a booklet of memorial inscriptions from Kirkholm - might be something there.

Annie McAdam comes up but with mother as Elizabeth!! and 1861

This could be Annie but don't know where mum was.

See from Annie's marriage cert that her father was a flesher - still can't find him!

I think you need to look at the scotlandspeople birth for the IGI one I posted above - Annie Douglas McAdam. It probably won't mention the father but an address might help find Annie and Jane in 1861.
