which is a new site which at the moment only covers Barrow but most birth entries provide mother's maiden name

I can see why if you are not used to the bmd sites, you could think the Eccleston was a place name as there are a few around with that name

Thank you for the surname of Sarah sorry I must be thick thought that it was the place Eccleston. I am a pensioner that my excuse anyway thanks for the info on the children of Sarah and John I only had Thomas who was bornin 1829 .Do you know hen and where they were married. I know John and Sarah wee born abt 1808 . Alsodo you have access to th 1911 census. I would like to know wher the family where living I suspect they could have still been in Raglan Street. I Understand ts difficult as its a common name. From the informaton given Ive plotted the famiy from 1851until 1891 Do you have acess to 1911 census. Ive got Thomasborn 1829 married to Eleanor Taylor in 1891 they Have Thomas, Henry, Margaret Eleanor , Edith as the children living in 37

See my idea of Sarah's birthplace in my last post. However I've found no marriage on IGI.

With John Robinson being a very common name it is difficult. It looks like James may be the last of his children by Sarah. Either or neither of the two deaths below could be John's death as it looks as if James was born 1836 or early 1837. Therefore James may have died before registration.

If you buy George Pearson Robinson's birth cert you'll get Sarah's maiden name. If you buy her marriage cert to George Pearson you should get her maiden name and her father's name & occupation.

Looking at Sarah's place of birth - 1851 - Hale, 1861 - Faile (widow & school mistress), 1871 - Halle (school mistress (mixed school) ), 1881 - Haile (formerly school teacher) I believe she was born in Haile which is only about 3 km from Beckermet.

Im trying to find the parents of Thomas Robinson 1808. I believe he married a Sarah. John and Sarah had a son Thomas born in Beckermet Cumberland 1829 I dont know if there where any other siblings ? Thomas then married Margaret ? they lived in Raglan St Barrow in Furness.
