I think it could be Lane as they worded things different then son in law normally meant step son so step father was possibly father in law

Only says the Parish Beaulieu on the 1851, however turning the page of the originals, the next entry is Rhyhill? a couple of housholds then Laygreen? Farm and Godfreys Farm, so would presume in that location depending which way the enumerator walked!
