Find Ancestors

I am trying to find a record of my g grandmothers death.

She died during childbirth with my grandads sister. My grandad was born in June 1910 and could not remember his mother so I have checked from 1911 - 1917 and cannot seem to find anything. She would have been about 26 -29 years old and was living at 40 Winstanley Road Battersea.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have just asked my mum and she does not know, she only remembers my grandad saying that she died giving birth. But I don't understand why I cannot find a death certificate for her.

Maybe she just uped and left and that was what your grandfather was told? So if there was a sister you dont know who she was?

someone who has saved the birth record and baptism on ancestry also saved this death record, the year of birth is correct but date of birth is out, as is the death date you gave but????

I cannot see any births for Ford/Vivian so if a sister had been born she would have been registered unless it was a stillborn birth?

hang on on ancestry wills and probate there's an entry for a Arthur Francis Vivian, same name as Matilda's father found on the marriage bans

I have just spoken to my mum and she said that Samuel Ford remarried in about 1950 to a lady from Sunderland. So if Matilda did not die there might be a divorce somewhere.
