hi, i am trying to find walter davies born 1915 brother of henry ,ihave a mariage cert for him to my gran but nothing else ,can anybody help me,

There were more than 30 Walter Davies's born in 1915 in England and Wales.
Can we have another clue, please?

ihave now discovered that walters brother was not called frank but called henry davies.he was born in 1917 and there mothers maiden name was bevan.i hope this helps

sorry they were both born in salford and walter served in the manchester regiment

Have you got any ages for Henry's parents?

fathers name was charles arthur henry davies(painter and decorator)

walter was married in 1915 so i would guese his dad would have married aprox 1895

Have you got Walters Fathers name from Walters marriage certificate?
I cannot see a marriage for a Charles Davies to anyone called Bevan - the one in 1911 is the only one I can see.
I think you need to get Walters birth certificate to find the names of his parents.
I do not understand your last statement - never guess when someone was married or born from the age of their children.
Had a quick look for Charles Davies as a painter and decorator in 1911 - could not see one.

thankyou patchem that does look interesting,i do have an address of 3 craven street for charles in april 1942 from marriage cert.don,t understand however all you have written

The address on the marriage cert is for the bride and Groom not the fathers, but that does'nt mean to say he did'nt live there aswell
