Hello Patrick,

Have not been on till today and yours was the first thread I checked, Colin that is super info..........well done you!

Well Patrick, this is where I have to bow out as USA & Canada are not my bag!

You need to decide who you are going to go with USA or Canada connections, if the first fails you will have to try the other route. I would ask for info on the last descendants keeping it short. There is a person on here called Janey Canuck who is very good with all things Canadian, she may be able to help you, as she is up on whats available record wise and what is not! also how to go about obtaining records that may be of interest.

Perhaps if you start a new thread CANADA HELP POST 1900's, you could paste your previous thread number onto the new thread, do not delete)and if you get a helper they will be able to read the whole story for themselves should they need to. I would think if you just change the heading, people will see 40+ replies and maybe feel they will have nothing to add.

Will be watching!
Good luck
Annx

Folks,

Once again a million thanks. I've modelled all the info you provided on FTM software to clarify things. It looks like there are 2 living Bartholmy ladies (Austin Mower being a 2nd Gt Grand Uncle) probably in the US...maybe Florida. Then another bunch descended from Ralph, Stephen.& Alice Johnson etc in Quebec/Canada?
I guess I'm going to need to wind forward 2 generations on this Quebec bunch to find living descendants. Can anyone advise on how easy/tricky that may be?

Patrick

There is a researcher on here that enjoys the chase with all things Canada.
Also a few of our Amerian friends may be able to help, and find out if their were any little Pallisters born to Ida & Charles.

Good luck

Hi Colin,

Yes that is the problem too many!! However just taken a look at the boys CEF records Stephen Johnson joined 6/8/1915 and his brother Ralph 6/3/1915........the latter naming his mother as next of kin, address 2677 Esplanade Avenue Montreal, the former had his father as next of kin at the same address............so she had to be there in 1915.

was hoping they may have had a wife........to get further down the line with the search, which now looks like for def to be followed up in Canada!
