help can't find marriage,marriages and banns

Thanks all for all of the help
I now know some more about this family.
Also where i can locate the marriage I was after.So won't be wasting any more time on Ancestry looking for it

I was wondering who the chap on the probate is.John was married twice
first to Elizabeth Haynes
second to Mary Jane Mutch Maiden name, on the second marriage they were both widows

I think the reason you're not finding the marriage is that only the records from the LMA were "done" by Ancestry. As the marriage was in Strand (Westminster) the records will be at the Westminster Archives.

Before 1898, all non-conformist marrs (not just RC) were recorded in the registrar's register, as well as register office marrs. Maybe that's why you've not found it.

Have you got him in any census as i can only fint one Thomas married to a Mary Ann in 1861?

There are 3 trees on Ancestry with a Thomas Emmerson Chandler born 1836 in Brighton is that the same man?
