and it is still the irish kennedy side which makes sense.

I could only find one record and that gave butler, mary.
it was from roots org I think and was the only result so I looked to see if I could see the family.

As George snr & Mary have a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Michael, this looks like a possible candidate.

Maureen, that's exactly what I was pointing out.

It's very unlikely that George married in Sevenoaks when his bride was from Liverpool, he lived in Liverpool, and his children were born in Liverpool.

As Ruth does not have George J's birth cert his mother is purely guesswork.

This is how Ruth explains Mary Butler. "I found this George with his family and from looking at record searches against d.o.b and where born only came up with one possible mothers maiden name Butler where is when I found al the other results from detailed searches".

However, as I explained above, George snr may be from Sevenoaks area, but his wife, Mary, is from Liverpool, and usually you look for a marriage in the bride's area.

MaureeninNY Report 4 Feb 2011 12:48

Hi Ruth,
How did you find out that George James's mother's maiden name was Butler again? You did sort of explain, but I got confused.

I think Ozi was pointing out that:
Marriages Sep 1876
Kennedy Mary Liverpool 8b 235
Langridge George Liverpool 8b 235
TAYLOR Mary Liverpool 8b 235
WILSON James Garrick Liverpool 8b 235

could also be a possible marriage for George snr. Unless you know for certain that he did marry in Sevenoaks...

I think I just confused myself!!! grin

Maureen

Ruth

Ruth Report 4 Feb 2011 11:21

I don't follow what you mean by that Ozi?
George married Mary Butler, not Kennedy.

However on searching for the Annie and John Crankshaw marriage it gives a possible as Annie kennedy.

Now I'm confused! :-D

the address you mention in the 1911 cencus is used by living family members at a much later date.

Ruth

Ruth Report 3 Feb 2011 21:48

hi Ozibird

The facts I know are that George Langridge married Rose Ann Dagnall and that his father was also called George.

I knew he lived in Liverpool all his life and lived at 1 Bruce Street, Liverpool, with his children.

I found this George with his family and from looking at record searches against d.o.b and where born only came up with one possible mothers maiden name Butler where is when I found al the other results from detailed searches
