Hitrying to find more info about Sadie towell married a swan in 1934 later divorced I believe she went on to marry in 1947 a akin Ali.she may have left for Canada in1951. I cannot find a birth record for her in the uk so was wondering if she may originally have been from Canada? Does anybody know how to look up records in Canada? I have no idea if she ever returned to this country.not a lot to go on I know but any help would be very much appreciated .I do not def know that she went to Canada and if she did she may have moved on from there. To dea I am so excited I have been looking for years and found just bits and then today you found all this.!!!!sadie remarried a akin Ali but I think I have found her going back to Halifax in Canada in 1951 as Sadie Ali but I don't think akin sailed with her??how would I start looking for any relatives in Canada do you know? Hi Colin just had a quick look at free bmd and I see there was another son Samuel h swan but he died looks like at birth. Nobody really ever heard from Sadie once her first marriage ended and I have pieced together odd bits of information from her first husband but unfortunately all of them have passed away so this is my last ditch attempt to find something out for my children and it is amazing . Now would be amazing to find a member of the family alive in Canada or anywhere I am so grateful for every bodies help thankyou mandi x

Hi Colin no he didn,t I actually knew Hector and that's where I got the little bit of info I did know. Was very surprised to find out today that they only knew each other for a short while before they married. I have been trying to find info since about 2000 but got nowhere and unfortunately Hector passes away the same year and nobody knew anything so just been looking and looking . Thankyou so much . Hector was from Stockport and his family from wales. So they must of met when she arrived in the country mandi x

Oh actually just looked at that sorry didn't notice when I mailed you just now it does look like it could be ! Seems Hector bless him only told me some of the story . I know he comes from the Stockport north wales area but was quite a fractured family I think so may have to look at that again there were a few hectors but I think they were older and that is the right year for him to be born . The Hector arriving on 11th Dec., 1933 which Colin found has to be him as he went to the same address that Sadie and her family went to in Cheshire when they arrived !

Hi Hector was born 3rd September 1912 in nuneaton. He had an uncle I think he was called Hector as well who was a preacher of some sort and he used to travel to America and places . I know the two were close so maybe my Hector was travelling to see his uncle and the elder Hector was maybe friends of the towels mandi x
