Find Ancestors

Folk on here are always so knowlegeable and helpful I wonder if they can help with this lengthy poser of mine. My relative, John Muggridge c1843 of Waldron, Sussex, married Caroline (nee Larkin?) c1845 of Beckley in December 1872 at Battle Sussex. 1891 census John & Caroline appear together with 'stepson' Albert Larkin 23. On the 1871 census Jacob Batcup 61 wife Charlotte & son Amos 21 also have staying with them, grandson Albert Larkin 3 and granddaughter Harriett Larkin 26.
Whereas in 1861 Caroline Larkin 15 is a visitor with Walter 35 & Mary 29 Gill at Peasmarsh Sussex. On the 1841 census there is a whole family of Larkins on the facing page to a whole family of Gill's, including Walter 15.
Then on the 1851 census Walter Gill 25 appears to be married to a Elizabeth Gill 19 with a visitor in the name of Mary Larkin age 16. It would seem that going back to John & Caroline Muggridge that had another son, Frederick, born in 1871. Iv'e found & lost various Gill's without any of it making any sense until I'm dizzy. While the Larkin's are elusive to me. (Darling Buds of May!!!) The place 'Beckley, E Sussex features a lot but I am getting dizzy trying to fathom out the Larkin's. Please, please, you kind folks, help me keep my sanity!

Not convinced by the Patrick surname looking at image, what does everyone think?

I would be inclined to assume that the Frederick you mention as the son of John Muggridge & Caroline is in fact James Frederick Larkin whose baptism is above as well as the 1871 census of James & Caroline in the workhouse together.
