I've started a new thread on Tips as I have got my Blue family mixed up with another Blue family.

Bonny Lass ...I feel another headache coming on....Co Mayo..!!
Do you know what Wm snrs. Occupation was...?

Sandra

Sandra Report 16 Feb 2011 11:06

According to Familysearch, Samuel was born in Ireland in 1880 and William was born in 1884 in Delaware, which means that George born c1886 must have been born before William??

Can anyone please find this family going to America for me?

Sandra

Sandra Report 16 Feb 2011 10:46

I have spoken to my mums cousin and she said George was born in Ireland, Co Mayo. They emigrated to South Carolina USA when he was 6 years old also, they left the USA when he was 12 years old and came back, but to Scotland. He had three brothers, William, James and Samuel of which I know nothing, I am not even sure if they returned withGeorge or if they were older or younger than him.
Anther name I know is an aunt Lisa who went from Ireland to live in Canada, her surname was McAfferty but I do not know if that is her maiden or married name.

I cant believe 2 William Keenans married 2 Sarah Graceys, but then again I should believe it, the way my luck goes.

Bonny Lass...Your headache is "coming on".Well I already had mine last night..!!
I would agree it doesn't make any sense....but...aren't we having a grand time sorting it out....again..!! It's possible that there were 2 Wms. and Sarah's both surnames are...well... common !!!
I must admit it was the Samuel that threw me..couldn't figure who he would be named after but equally if your Wm and Sarah married before going to the US then I would have expected a child born in the intervening years...
Well thats my afternoon off "Up the Clyde" so to speak....

Erin, welcome back to my mixed up world. Lol.

Easton is my husbands family, I'm including them in my tree because I can't get anywhere with my own lot.

Keenans are my mums side of the family and as you have pointed out.... they're not a straight forward bunch either. It doesn't make sense about the children of William and Sarah. Surely there can't be two William Keenans married to two Sarah Graceys ............ can there?

I feel a major headache coming on. Lol

Eringobragh1916

Eringobragh1916 Report 14 Feb 2011 18:52

Bonny Lass...Wm Keenan and Sara Jane Gracey had a boy named Samuel b 22 Feb 1880 Reg Ballymartin Co Down.

I am confused...!!!
If "Your" George was b. 1886 Ire .then they have had to have gone to the US and come back after having Wm (1884)...
