Given that George and Jane were both born in Scotland and there isn't an appropriate marriage appearing on FreeBMD, a look on Scotlandspeople reveals 3 possible marriages.

As Jane gives her birthplace as Peterhead, the first is most likely. i've used a some credits and here are the details

They married on 30 June 1864 at Peterhead after Banns according to the forms of the Wesleyan Church. George Simm, a Ship's Carpenter aged 24 years of Peterhead. His father john Sim a Fisherman and his mother Jean Sim maiden surname Sim were both still alive. Jane Johnston aged 19 years of Burnhaven, Peterhead. Her father William Johnston a Gardener and her mother Catherine Johnston maiden surname Yule were both still alive. The witnesses were were William Sim and Wm. Johnston.

If you buy some credits for Scotlandspeople you will be able to search for the deaths of the parents. Death entries in Scotland give the parents names if the informant knew the details.

I would have thought they died in Liverpool rootgatherer? poss George at sea though

So from that a death for Jane (Jean) Sim will be on SP between 1871 and 1881 and John's death after 1891.

George and Janes parents probably died in Scotland but it it George and Jane... Kerryn is looking for not that anything is jumping out at me I must say

Jane Lamb JOHNSTON(e) b 14/9/1845 Peterhead (baptised 3/10/1845)
She married 30/6/1864 in Peterhead.
The Johnston connection travelled from Peterhead to South Shields to Liverpool and at least one of the females from that line travelled on to Fremantle, Western Australia.
Eleanor Johnston 1850-1921 married Alexander Mitchell in 1867 Heworth.
Eleanor Mitchell 1871-1955 married Thomas Houghton in 1890 Toxteth Park, Liverpool
The Houghton family arrived Fremantle in 1911 and lived out their days.
