Marilyn -- will you tell everybody else who has already been trying to help Albert what your PM is about?

Not what the content is; what it is about -- so no one else wastes time finding what you have found, etc.

Doesn't it just seem kinda fair to do that automatically?

It would more likely be because whoever registered the death got it wrong.

Edward / Edmund / Edwin got confused all the time. My grandfather thought he was Edward born 1900 until he retired, got his birth certificate and found he was Edmund born 1901. As a middle name, it might not have got a lot of attention and the informant assumed Edward.

Or he might have been wrong himself and it really was Edward.

Gettnig the two certificates would be the only way to get more info.

The birth date & death registration could be right, but His middle name was "Edwin" not Edward, unless it was due to a clerical error

Thats what I was told, but maybe it was wrong date, I found the Somerset one myself but dis-regarded it thinking it wasn't him, if its any help, his Mother was called Marie Hemmens, think she must have re-married at some stage, and I know he had at least 1 sister called Nellie

Are you sure it was 1936 ?

Only one listed was born in Weston, Somerset.

There's an entry for 1937 in Newcastle - could that be him ?
