Member Since: March 2011 Posts: 27 Send Message	i have hit a dead end with this , so frustrating we have this lovely prayer book with information about the solider henry g birks , the book some how came to our family william shipley and we wondered how ? the book is so intresting ,but we wanted to see if he was related to us . we really need more information Unit 2 Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers solider number is 3179 when did he die ??? when was he born ?

	This seems to be the website to verify the entries in the prayer book. Service record should give clue on birth. How to find army records for the Boer War [Archive] - B-G ... 	If you go to Freebmd and specify marriages for Shipley/Birks in Staffs you will see 2 possibles. This might be the link.
